In addition to its strong academics, Grace is known for its warm, welcoming community that reflects the rich diversity of the nation's capital region. Children at Grace learn to appreciate and value the students, teachers and staff around them, and to celebrate differences and find common bonds. Please join us on June 3rd at 9am in Kensington for the fourth annual Colleen's BA 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk to benefit the Colleen Mitchel Memorial Fund. The Fund was established in memory of Colleen Mitchel, who was born with biliary atresia in 1993, had a liver transplant at 7 months old, and died in 2013 at 19 years old from complications due to liver disease, while awaiting another liver transplant. Colleen graduated from Grace in 2005, Walter Johnson High School in 2011 and was attending the University of Michigan.
