Middle School

Our Sixth through Eighth Grade Middle School Program builds upon the strong academic foundation laid in earlier divisions.  Academic subject areas include Language Arts, Mathematics, History, Science, and Spanish. Students are challenged to apply their critical thinking skills while engaging in longer-term research and writing assignments, learning and applying mathematical and scientific principles, and expressing themselves, both verbally and in writing, in a foreign language.   In addition, Middle School students engage in a variety of artistic endeavors that enable them to understand and express who they are as creative beings.  Students also participate in a range of athletic activities that allow them to discover and nurture physical talent, understand the rewards of fitness, and appreciate the value of teamwork.  Health education, service learning, weekly Chapel service, and opportunities for performance, presentation, and competition in core academic subject areas round out the Middle School experience at Grace.
