Early Childhood
The emphasis in early childhood education at Grace is on a nurturing environment that encourages young children to grow at their own pace, learn to cooperate with others, and develop age-appropriate levels of independence. Students have opportunities for whole group, small group, and individual learning experiences. Creativity is encouraged through a variety of hands-on and teacher-guided activities that invite students to think both originally and critically.
Primary
Grace primary students receive exceptional one-on-one attention in small classes, an approach that helps them master skills and contend in basic subjects. They learn to ask questions and solve problems. Teachers assign age-appropriate homework that fosters good study skills, and field trips to link thematic units with the cultural realms of music, history, and art.
Intermediate
Upper elementary students assume greater responsibility at the school and take the lead in campus-wide projects. They tackle longer-term assignments in class and at home, requiring planning, research, critical thinking, writing, and presentation skills. They display their emerging vocal and dramatic abilities in school musical productions, and create sophisticated artwork that wins awards. Sports showcase their growing physical prowess.
