Applying to Nursery - 5th Grade

Applying to 6th - 8th Grades

Applying to Nursery through 5th Grade

Complete the application for admission and mail it with the $75 application fee to the Grace Episcopal Day School Admission Office.

Applicants to Kindergarten through 5th grade should make arrangements for your child to be tested as appropriate. Applicants to Kindergarten must be given the WPPSI-III test. Applicants to Grades 1 - 5 must be given the WISC IV or WPSI-III test (depending upon age at time of test.) Please note that testing fees vary by agency. The following list includes suggestions of testers in the general area. You may, however, use any certified tester:

Make arrangements for your child's current school to forward progress reports or transcripts to the Grace Episcopal Day School Admission Office.

If you are applying to Nursery, PreK, Kindergarten, or First Grade, click here for the teacher recommendation form that should be completed by your child's current school and forwarded to the Grace Admission Office.

If you are applying to Second Grade, Third Grade, Fourth Grade, or Fifth Grade, click here for the teacher recommendation form that should be completed by your child's current school and forwarded to the Grace Admission Office.

Make arrangements with the Grace Episcopal Day School Admission Office for a peer group visit for your child, and a parent interview. (Once you have submitted the application for information, you will be contacted to arrange this visit and interview.)

Maryland State Law requires that children meet the following age requirements:
Nursery Students must be 3 years old by September 1, 2008
Pre-Kindergarten Students must be 4 years old by September 1, 2008
Kindergarten Students must be 5 years old by September 1, 2008
First grade Students must be 6 years old by September 1, 2008

Applying to 6th through 8th Grades (8th Grade opens for the 2009 - 2010 School Year)

Complete the application for admission and mail it with the $75 application fee to the Grace Episcopal Day School Admission Office.

Register your student to take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) (www.ssat.org). Select the testing location and date that is convenient to you. Grace Episcopal Day School is not a SSAT test site. Applicants do not have to test at Grace. Our school code is 3488.

Submit the AISGW's common Math and English evaluation forms to your student's current school and have the school send the forms directly to the Grace Episcopal Day School Admission Office. For recommendation forms, click here.
