Young Explorers is our early childhood summer program for children 3 to 5 years of age.

Half day (9:00 am - noon) and Full day (9:00 am - 3:00 pm) programs are available for this age.

Young Explorers is our early childhood summer program for children 3 to 5 years of age. Half day (9:00 am - Noon) and Full day (9:00 am - 3:00 pm) programs are available for this age group. Campers must be 3 years of age by June 1, 2008 and toilet trained to enroll in this program.

Choose any combination of 1,2,3,4, or 5 weeks of recreational camp.

We transform our most spacious classrooms into summer playrooms for our youngest campers. The weekly thematic units include: Down on the Farm, Dinosaurs, Inventions, Jungle Safari, and Space Travel. The activities excite and beckon campers to return week after week for more art, movement, discovery, and outdoor activities. The campers will begin their day with a joyful song. They will experience a balance of hands-on activities as they explore new concepts, and opportunities to engage in dialog as they form new learning into ideas.

Grace's nurturing teachers prepare an inviting environment with small group size which enables children to feel safe and secure, free to delve further into their own creativity. Teacher planning and experience bring a predictable and informative outlook for parents and children. A weekly newsletter keeps parents informed of the daily activities, guest visitors, and special events. Children experience a balance of engaging activities, story time, and outdoor games. Daily routines include block play, dramatic play, arts, crafts, ball play, water play, and plenty of song and dance.

This camp will be at our Silver Spring campus.
