Outdoor Adventure Specialty Camp
Dates for 2008:
July 7 - 11 (Grades 4 - 5)
July 14 - 18 (Grades 6 - 7)
This specialty camp is a one-week, full-day program.
Bill Musgrove, our science teacher, leads this exciting camp designed for a great outdoor experience. During the one week session, children will engage in team building activities, shelter building, a lunch cookout, and more. Children will travel off campus to enjoy local outdoor attractions.
Some of the activities the 4th and 5th graders will engage in include: water tubing, swimming, a hiking trip at Cunningham Falls, wall climbing, and a creek stomp. the 6th and 7th graders will enjoy a more challenging water tubing trip, swimming, flat water kayaking, hiking at Sugarloaf, and rock climbing. The camp culminates with an overnight camping experience on each Thursday night.
*There are additional costs for this camp.
This camp will meet at our Silver Spring campus.
