The Annual Fund for Grace is your way to strengthen the school’s foundation and contribute in a meaningful way to the development of all of our students. Every gift helps us plant the seeds of intellectual growth, athletic determination and artistic expression.
Why is your contribution important?
A contribution to the Annual fund helps to keep tuition moderate compared to other area independent schools. The school’s budget is set so that tuition alone does not fully cover all of our operating costs. While tuition is substantial, it covers only 82% of the actual cost of education each student. The Annual Fund helps us close the gap between the true cost of a Grace Episcopal Day School education and our tuition.
Gifts from current families provide the core of gifts to the Fund. But, just as importantly, our Annual Fund also reaches out to the larger Grace community, and is supported by alumni and their families, the faculty and staff, grandparents and special friends. All of them united in one goal: to help Grace continue not only to grow, but to thrive!
It’s important to note that your tax-deductible donation goes directly to this year’s budget. Here are several ways that the Annual Fund will help our school grow and prosper:
- It will nurture creative educational initiatives and programs, like Model U.N., field trips, Science Fair, writing initiatives, and Echo Hill.
- It will support our committed teaching staff to continue to pursue further training, including summer courses and educational seminars.
- It will provide the necessary tools to expand extracurricular activities that will enhance our already vibrant offerings.
- It will continue to allow for improvements to the physical plant at both campuses, particularly as we prepare for the expansion into 7 th grade next year.
- Perhaps most importantly, it will allow roots to grow for the families who receive financial aid. Our financial aid needs continue to increase, and the Annual Fund significantly supports the program.
The goal of the Annual Fund this year is to raise $130,000 and have every current family make a meaningful contribution in support of our very special community here at Grace.
Please support the unique spirit of Grace with a contribution to the Annual Fund, and help us continue to grow, cultivate and nurture every student. Every Gift Counts!
